Gigina

She is generous and serves tea

This project started with a single word representing a feeling—just eight letters put together, carrying a strong and profound meaning to come. The emotion is generous. I tried not to judge my deep interpretation of the subject and instead be generous with the outcome that instinctively emerged through the process.

I found Gina, or perhaps she found me.

I had been searching for her intensely. From concepts of giving to pigments of meaning, she is generous and shy. She has a multicolored facet and an expression of someone who enjoys serenity and pleasure—who loves herbal bags. A small portion of pigments delivers so much to the water: color, smell, and flavor. She releases it all through the simple act of being there, swimming in the hot bath. And beyond that, she offers it to you, inviting you to appreciate and warm your instrument.

Gina is ready to serve tea. Those who wish to receive it signal to her. So many cultures gather around, their instruments as varied as a garden full of life and colors. The act becomes a celebration. Her knitted skin allows her to stretch, reaching those near and far. Colors dance whenever they are called upon.

Sometimes, the feeling comes and goes, leaving an empty space—a longing to experience it again, and again, and again. Her mind delights in the flourishing of big conversations happening beneath the surface. All the connections spread the good news: generosity is happening now.
